  ANUSARA YOGA hot_tantra_vinyasa Anusara Yoga – is a modern hatha school developed by John Friend. Anusara had Iyengar yoga as basis and today is a school with emphasis on the health of the body and mind, the emotional and mental freedom. Anusara emphasizes the principles of alignment that are inherent in all asanas and related to philosophical aspects of yoga practice. Anusara means flowing with grace following your heart.

Hot Yoga is a slow paced practice with emphasis on alignment. Most of the class is focused on standing poses and there is a good balance between strengthening, balancing, stretching and calming the mind. Ideal for beginners and more experienced yogis wanting to get back to basics.

TRX is a suspension training system that utilizes body weight and gravity to provide whole body movements that engage the legs, arms, and core. Born by the U.S. Navy Seals, TRX Suspension Training is used by athletes, military personnel, and fitness experts throughout the world for the highly effective workout it deploys. It offers a revolutionary method of leveraged bodyweight exercise. HOT YOGA ALIGNMENT

A class that is slow in pace and systematic in its approach. Inspired by iyengar, a form of hatha yoga, based on giving primacy to the physical alignment of the body. Emphasis is given on the correct way to do each pose, and that every student will one day be able to attain perfection through consistent practice. Once balance is achieved in body, it will also be reflected in mind. Props are used to assist the student in attaining ideal alignment.

A fun fitness yoga practice for the male and female athlete. It is a strong, intense and challenging practice, with a focus on lengthening tight muscles. Kids yoga is a fun class for children from 5 years and up that aims children to become aware of their bodies, to strengthen and develop their skills in the beautiful and safe space of the studio. The combination of exercise with music, game and theater develops healthy personalities, helps communication and teamwork and develops imagination. Concentration, flexibility, discipline and right breathing are some of the benefits kids will enjoy.

JIVAMUKTI YOGA

Jivamukti Yoga is practiced in a warm (not hot) room. It combines ethical and spiritual ideas with a strong, dynamic physical practice, based on Ashtanga that will leave you inspired and uplifted. Created by artist musicians Sharon Gannon and David Life, the classes take on a monthly theme that draws from the ancient scriptures.

Expect flowing, vinyasa-based sequences practiced to music, traditional chanting, reflection upon the relevance of yoga scriptures to modern life and a closing mantra meditation and relaxation.

JIVAMUKTI SPIRITUAL WARRIOR

Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior classes are designed for busy people. The class is an hour long, non-hot, fast paced and invigorating and is certainly a “get-in-shape” class. The structure is a fixed set sequence instructed in a vinyasa style. It is a fully balanced class which includes asana warm-up, chanting, setting of intention, surya namaskar, standing poses, backbends, forward bends, twists, inversions, meditation and relaxation. The asana sequence is always the same, giving students the chance to pick it up quite quickly after only a handful of classes.

BARRE A TERRE

Originally devised for ballet dancers, «barre a terre» has since evolved into a method of fitness for anyone looking to increase strength and flexibility. It is a fun, challenging and intelligent practice which blends the movement and technique of Ballet with the precision of Pilates and the stretch of yoga. Each class delivers an energizing and effective work out for the entire body, helping build alignment, whilst strengthening the core and toning muscles.

HOT YIN YANG YOGA

Yin Yang Yoga works on the deeper anatomy of the physical body, targeting the connective tissues, ligaments, bones, and joints. This practice will stimulate the energetic flow of the subtle body. Passive and soft poses with a focus on hips, pelvis and lower spine, are supported by the earth with the use of props and postural variations. The challenge is to maintain the postures for longer, whilst bringing awareness to the breath and presence of mind. This allows us to cultivate inner strength and outer flexibility. Open to all levels of practitioners and aimed to detox, stretch and relax.
