200-HOUR AGNI YOGA TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME

The AGNI YOGA School offers comprehensive 200hrs and advanced 300hrs training courses. Courses are offered by a team of experienced teachers in various locations nation-wide and internationally.

Students are automatically accepted if they have been studying under the guidance of one of the faculty teachers. Students that wish to join the 200hrs Agni School of Yoga may submit an application form.

This is a comprehensive Yoga Instructor training program, designed in accordance with the requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance USA set for 200hrs programmes. After successfully completing the course you will be a Certified Yoga Teacher, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance and you will be qualified to teach Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga worldwide.

On completion of the 200hrs TT, students will be able to pursue their studies in the a 300hrs TT, should they wish to consolidate their hours with an active RYT300 and register with Yoga Alliance for a RYT500 designation.

This is a 9 Module Programme designed to delve into the various aspects of yoga over the course of 9 weekends. All the modules taught meet and exceed yoga alliance requirements. The curriculum includes Asana Lab, Teaching Methodology (sequencing & voicing skills), Philosophy, Anatomy, Pranayama and Meditation techniques.

The first 8 modules (weekends 1-8) consist of 200 hours of training and 25 hours of svadhyaya, practice and refinement together with the lead teachers.

This teaching training provided by the AGNI Yoga school uses the approach and style of Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Focus is given on basic yoga principles and necessary tools are provided to ensure high quality of teaching. Each student is treated as a unique individual. The programme is designed to ensure that each trainee finds their true expression and develops their skills to the fullest, becoming the best version of themselves.

Teaching, sequencing and class theming techniques are covered for both the fast and vigorous style of Vinyasa flow, as well as, for the softest alignment based Hatha Style of Yoga.

The course certifies you to teach both vinyasa flow and more gentle hatha yoga style.

Physical Asana work, paired with anatomical principles, biomechanics and energetic alignment, ensures a multi dimensional overview of each asana through the eyes of the physical, mental, and emotional body. Pranayama and meditation techniques, as well as the use of other supportive tools (mantra, mudra etc.) ensure that students will be able to teach a well rounded, balanced and effective class.

This course presents a foundation in yoga principals with a strong emphasis on Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Trainees are expected to maintain a daily practice during their training.

TRAINING CURRICULUM

This course will consist of Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Chanting, Nadis, Koshas, Mudras, Bandhas, Kriyas, Meditation, Pantanjali Yoga Sutras, Yoga History and Philosophy, Vinyasa Flow, Anatomy and Phyisology, defining your teaching style, Business of Yoga etc.

Pranayama:

  • Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Ujjayi, Nadi shodana, Anuloma - Viloma, Shithali, Brahmari etc.

Yoga Anatomy:

  • Students will learn anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga to strengthen their understanding of practice and teaching skills, cues, and corrections of asana.
  • Students will also learn the importance of anatomy while sequencing the class.
